East Tennessee

Tri-Cities and Knoxville facilities: the wall should know about KMRX.

East Tennessee gets real weather and real plants. Dutywall’s default radar site is NWS Morristown (KMRX). Severe thunderstorms, tornado warnings, flash floods, and winter storms are mapped onto screen presets, not a pretty temperature widget.

Who this page is for

Manufacturers in the industrial parks, school systems, clinics, city and county buildings, and contractors who already own Rokus or leftover PCs in Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Elizabethton, Greeneville, Morristown, and Knoxville.

Why local weather is not a plugin

api.weather.gov is the source. The box polls active alerts for your lat/lon. A warning can take the wall without someone opening a dashboard on a phone while driving in from Gray.

How we install here

A Linux mini-PC or Pi on your LAN. We do not need a hole through the firewall for a vendor. If you want the cloud later, the box calls out. Reference deployment is intended to be a real East Tennessee facility first.

Questions

Do you send a technician to Johnson City?

Preview is hands-on. We would rather stand in your hallway than ship a national self-serve kit and disappear.

Will this work if Suddenlink/AT&T is down?

Everyday video and a local panic still run. NWS will not update until outbound HTTPS to weather.gov returns.
